WiR - In It For the Long Haul by metalcervidae WiR - In It For the Long Haul by metalcervidae
POSTED THIS ON TUMBLR A BIT AGO

this was actually drawn and line art'd back before there were any references for TurboTime besides the logo

'cause THIS AMAZING FIC gives me so many feelings about Litwak and TurboTime and him with all his games in general sdgjhsdfk

That fic gave me the headcanon that TurboTime is one of the first (if not the first) game Litwak had, and the one that helped him start the arcade and take care of his nana. Which, y'know, makes the whole unplugging TurboTime thing heartbreaking. jgdfkghkd

Litwak: This arcade machine has a long life ahead of it, like my Nana.

I think the movie is hinting that Mr Litwak knows that the game characters are alive

I really like Mr. Litwak. He really does seem to care about having to unplug a game. I mean, he looked sad when Roadblasters and Turbotime were unplugged, and seemed happy that Ralph was back @ the end. (BTW, I heard it said that Litwak lied about getting someone to look @ the game, I think he actually did, but we don't see it because Ralph didn't really know about what was going on with his game because he was gamejumping, and since the story is. mostly Ralph's pov, we don't see the guy comming to look @ FIFJr.

Oh I never think about that idea. It's an interesting idea. In the movie, we can see how Litwack feel very sad about what happen with that story between Turbo and Roadblaster. After that, I think he never choose a game race with avatars for a long time. In the movie, you can see others games race in the arcade without avatars except Sugar Rush.

Sorry for the bad English...

I wonder in the sequel, Litwak is suffering from less customers because they complain that it "wasn't how it used to be without TurboTime", so he plugs back in TurboTime for old time's sake, but there's one problem. It's the same one that Litwak plugged out, and the Turbo Twins, having no memory, wonder where Turbo was. Ralph and his friends become well acquainted with them, and must now find a way to bring back Turbo, only to remember that he's probably still alive in Sugar Rush since he made it his own game last time he was there. If our heroes don't try to get him back before the gamers find Turbo missing, Litwak might lose one of the reasons why kids used to come to his arcade and would be forced to shut it down, thus bringing trouble for the game characters.
